The public transport sector has set ambitious goals for sustainable freedom of movement. In 2025, these goals face substantial challenges. Geopolitical tensions bring new demands for safety and preparedness. Climate change and increasing extreme weather events challenge our infrastructure and rolling stock. Tighter finances affect service offerings and vital development work.
At InformNorden & Kollektivkonferansen 2025, we brought together the public transport sector from all five Nordic countries. We learned from each other’s experiences, inspired each other with our projects and successes, and discussed how—despite the challenges—we can succeed in creating an attractive, resilient, and future-proof transport system for all.
The Nordic public transport community has always had a tradition of sharing and learning from one another. In an uncertain world marked by rapid change, the value and importance of collaboration is greater than ever.
