There is now a growing perception across Europe that the public sector has an important coordinating and regulatory role in developing a seamless transport service. What regulatory changes are required, and what has happened in the EU, Germany, and France to meet this need?

Thomas Geier has a Master of Science from Universiteit van Amsterdam, and he has been working at European Metropolitan Transport Authorities as a Resarch and Policy Officer, at Vervoerregion Amsterdam as Transport Services Spacialist, at Verkerhrsverbund Ost-Region Gesellschaft in Wien with Innovative Mobilität, and as Policy Advisor at EMTA – European Metropolitan Transport Authorities before he became the Secretary General of EMTA.
