«Connecting Nordic Public Transport: Using Data Standards to Benefit Passengers»

For travellers, better data means less uncertainty: real-time updates when a bus is delayed, reliable planning information across regions, and smoother connections between modes. For operators and authorities, it means better control of their services and easier integration across both local, national, and international services.

This session explores how European regulations and data standards can be leveraged not only to meet compliance requirements but also to deliver direct value to passengers. We will look at practical cases where standards like NeTEx/SIRI, GTFS, and GBFS are working together to give travellers smoother and optimised journeys, and where the providers gain the tools and data to plan and operate more effectively.

The session is open and interactive, welcoming all who share an interest in how data can improve public transport across the Nordics and beyond.
