Bernt Reitan Jenssen will share his insights during the Opening Session regarding:

«Developing public transport in an age of geopolitical unpredictability»

 

Bernt Reitan Jenssen is the Chief Executive Officer of Ruter AS. He holds a degree in economics from BI Norwegian Business School. Jenssen has led Ruter since its inception in 2008, when it was established as a joint administrative company for public transport in Oslo and the Akershus region of Viken County. Prior to this, he served for eight years as Executive Vice President at Posten Norge and has also held CEO positions at the logistics companies TNT Norge AS and IL-X Budservice AS.

Bernt was a member of the Norwegian government’s Independent Expert Committee on Technology and Future Transport Infrastructure, tasked with mapping and analyzing the implications of new technologies for future transport systems. He also participated in the Minister of Transport’s Mobility and Technology Council, which aims to foster a shared understanding of the opportunities and challenges posed by emerging technologies in the transport sector.

In addition, he chaired the Transport21 strategy group under the Ministry of Transport, which focused on how research, development, and innovation can best address future transport challenges. He also led the development of Shift’s report on a changing transport sector.
