Julie Nyborg Kongsparten will share insights from her thesis on demand-responsive transport (DRT) in collaboration with Norconsult and Ruter:
«Mapping suitable areas for DRT services in the Oslo metropolitan area»
Where should demand-responsive transport (DRT) be implemented to improve mobility and accessibility in the Oslo metropolitan area? This research, conducted in collaboration with Norconsult and Ruter, applies a GIS-based multi-criteria analysis that combines spatial data with expert-based weighting of socio-economic, land-use, and public transport criteria. The presentation will introduce the methodology, showcase the resulting suitability patterns, and highlight how data-driven planning can support more equitable and sustainable mobility, while also outlining future opportunities for further development and application of the framework.
