Erik Fjord Moesgaard and Steffen Bank, will talk about;
«DRT – the Danish model»
Together with FlexDanmark, Movia operates one of the world’s most optimized flexible transport solutions.
The «danish model» is build om three major presumptions:
1. High demand density
2. Combined tender model
3. Combined operation of various transport types
and
“Nærbus” – the concept, the platform and the customer solution
Movia is currently conducting a multi-year pilot project for the so-called “Nærbus”—a scheduled bus service that only runs upon request. The pilot has been evaluated as a success in sparsely populated areas, and Movia has recently received state funding to launch a new pilot in a different region.
Erik Fjord Moesgaard is a Senior Consultant at the Danish public transport company Movia, where he works on organizing and improving Flextrafik’s Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT) solutions. In recent years, Flextrafik has increasingly focused on data-driven solutions, and Erik maintains close contact with Movia’s municipalities to help them optimize their use of Flextrafik.
Erik holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (cand.merc.) from Copenhagen Business School and has, for 30 years, worked on developing and streamlining processes and administrative workflows. His career has primarily been within the public sector and self-governing institutions, with a single stint in the NGO world.
