Suomalainen Vesa is an experienced Business and Operations Manager with over 30 years of leadership in business management, operations, and development. He has led large teams of over 200 professionals and driven transformation across telecoms, ICT, and customer service domains. Vesa recently completed a long and rewarding tenure at Elisa Corporation and is now applying his expertise to public transport innovation at HSL.

As Program Director, Vesa has led the complex implementation of account-based ticketing in Helsinki, combining strategic governance, agile execution, and customer-centric thinking. His collaborative and approachable leadership style, combined with strong analytical skills and deep experience in project and programme management, make him a respected voice in service transformation.
